Copper-nickel alloys refer to that the nickel alloys containing copper as the primary component. These alloys have interesting physical properties, good mechanical properties – even under continuous loading and at elevated temperatures – together with high resistance to corrosion in many media – especially seawater. Monel is the most representative alloy group of copper-nickel alloys, and its main products include Alloy 400, Alloy K500, etc. Monel has good resistant to corrosion and acids, and some alloys can withstand a fire in pure oxygen. Thus, it is commonly used in applications with highly corrosive conditions such as aerospace applications, oil production and refining, marine applications, chemical industry.
