Manganese is a hard, brittle, silvery metal that is the fifth most abundant metal in the earth's crust. Its minerals are widely distributed, with pyrolusite (manganese dioxide) and rhodochrosite (manganese carbonate) being the most common. It is hard to melt, but easily oxidized. Manganese is reactive when pure, and as a powder it will burn in oxygen, it reacts with water (it rusts like iron) and dissolves in dilute acids. In addition, manganese is an essential trace element that is naturally present in many foods and available as a dietary supplement. It can help the body form connective tissue, bones, blood clotting factors, and sex hormones.

Alfa Chemistry provides high-quality manganese and manganese-based alloys including manganese-nickel (Mn-Ni) alloys, manganese-iron (Mn-Fe) alloys, and iron-manganese-silicate (Fe-Mn-Si) alloys at a competitive price. We can also customize various shapes of manganese products according to your requirements or drawings.

Pure Manganese Products

Most of the manganese is used in the form of ferromanganese and silicomanganese alloys for iron and steel manufacture. And pure manganese produced electrolytically is used mostly in the preparation of nonferrous alloys of copper, aluminum, magnesium, and nickel and in the production of high-purity chemicals.

Pure manganese products we can supply are listed below.

Manganese-based Alloys

Manganese alloys are alloys that utilize the addition of manganese. The manganese content is used to deoxidize an alloy while enhancing its mechanical strength and castability.

Manganese-based alloys we can supply include manganese-nickel (Mn-Ni) alloys, manganese-iron (Mn-Fe) alloys, and iron-manganese-silicate (Fe-Mn-Si) alloys.
