Indium is a silvery metal that is very soft with high plasticity, malleability and ductility. It belongs to the less typical metals group, i.e., when it loses its outermost electrons, it will not have the electronic structure of inert gases; hence, it will not be reactive as the typical metals. Indium has good corrosion resistance to water and alkalis. It is stable in air but dissolves in acids. And it burns with a violet flame when heated above its melting point.

Alfa Chemistry provides high-quality indium and indium-based alloys at a competitive price. We can also customize various shapes of indium products according to your requirements or drawings.

Pure Indium Products

Indium is very versatile. For example, one of the most prominent uses of indium is as casting for the bearings in high-speed motors. Indium also can be used to make indium tin oxide which is an important part of touch screens, flatscreen TVs and solar panels. Indium metal sticks to glass and can be used to give a mirror finish to windows of tall buildings, and as a protective film on welders' goggles, and so on.

Pure indium products we can supply are listed below.

Indium-based Alloys

Adding indium to many metals can improve the wear resistance and corrosion greatly. Due to its low melting point, indium can be used to produce a variety of fusible alloys that are mostly used to manufacture various fuses, temperature controllers, and signaling devices.

Indium-based alloys we can provide include indium-tin (In-Sn) alloys and indium-silver (In-Ag) alloys.
