Bismuth is a hard and brittle metallic element found in Group 15 of the periodic table. One of its distinguishable features is its slightly reddish-pinkish tinge on its white, crystalline metal. In the environment, bismuth occurs in the earth's crust and is twice as abundant as gold. Bismuth has high electrical resistance and has the second-lowest thermal conductivity out of all the metals next to mercury. It is stable to oxygen and water, and it does not tarnish when exposed to air and forms an insoluble compound when put in water. At boiling point, bismuth oxidizes rapidly and forms an oxide coating which is distinguishable yellow.

Alfa Chemistry provides high-quality bismuth and bismuth-based alloys including bismuth-lead (Bi-Pb) alloys, bismuth-tin (Bi-Sn) alloys, bismuth-indium-tin (Bi-In-Sn) alloys, and bismuth-antimony (Bi-Sb) alloys at a competitive price. We can also customize various shapes of bismuth products according to your requirements or drawings.

Pure Bismuth Products

Bismuth is widely used in various aspects including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and pigments, replacement of lead, low melting solders, fusible alloys, synthetic fibers, shots and shotguns.
