Tungsten - Copper / Foil

Description

Tungsten - Copper / Foil

The tungsten-copper alloy is an alloy composed of tungsten and copper which is prepared by copper tungsten alloy powder metallurgy method with good electrical and thermal conductivity, good high temperature strength and certain plasticity. Since the tungsten-copper two metals are incompatible with each other, the tungsten-copper alloy has low expansion property of tungsten, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, high electrical and thermal conductivity with copper, and is suitable for various mechanical processes.

Alfa Chemistry specializes in providing high tungsten-copper Foils on the market today. We can also customize various shapes of tungsten-copper alloy products according to your requirements or drawings.

Applications

Tungsten-Copper foils are used where the combination of high heat resistance, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and low thermal expansion are needed, for example:

  • In many industrial areas such as aerospace, power, electronic, metallurgy, and machinery.
  • For cooling device in electronic equipment.
  • Arcing contacts and vacuum contacts in high and medium voltage breakers or vacuum interrupters adopt it as material.
  • Being adopted as passive cooling element in heat sink for electronic devices and electronic packaging materials.
  • As the component of the pushing device in spacecrafts.
