Nitronic 40 Stainless Steel

UNS S21900

Description

N40
STAINLESS STEEL

Nitronic 40 is a high-manganese stainless steel with great versatility, high strength and excellent resistance to corrosion at high temperatures. Nitronic 40 provides remarkably good elevated temperature properties and also retains its high strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures. The product is readily weldable and can be fabricated and remains essentially non-magnetic at cryogenic temperatures or after up to 60% cold work. It has been used for chemical processing, pollution control equipment and various aircraft engine components.
