Titanium Grade 19 (Ti-3Al-8V-6Cr-4Mo-4Zr)
Description
Titanium Grade 19 (Ti-3Al-8V-6Cr-4Mo-4Zr) is a metastable beta alloy that can obtain a wide range of mechanical properties by heat-treatable. To achieve high strength levels, cold working, solution treating, and aging or a combination of these processes can be employed. In the solution annealed condition, the alloy is very ductile and can be easily cold worked. In addition, Titanium Grade 19 also exhibits good ductility, very good resistance to reducing acids, and offers low elastic modules and excellent fatigue resistance. This material is commonly used for aircraft engine parts (abutments, fastenings), and also for the chemical industry and sports equipment.
