Ti-7Al-4Mo
UNS R56740
Description
Ti-7Al-4Mo is an alpha-beta titanium alloy which contains 7% aluminum and 4% molybdenum with other trace amounts of alloying elements. The alloy is characterized by excellent creep resistance and high strength, and the creep resistance and strength are superior to Ti-6Al-4V. In addition, it shows very good high temperature resistance that can be used at temperatures up to 800 °F for long periods or 1300 °F for short periods. Ti-7Al-4Mo alloy can be hot or cold formed using power brake, hydropress, stretch or drop hammer methods.
