RA 253 MA® Stainless Steel
UNS S30815
Description
RA 253 MA® stainless steel has been developed over 30 years. RA 253 MA® is a lean austenitic heat resistant alloy with high strength and excellent oxidation resistance. It provides the perfect combination of creep strength with excellent oxidation, vulcanization and high-temperature erosion resistance in alloys containing only 11% nickel. RA 253 MA® obtains its heat resistant properties by tight control of micro alloy additions and a combination of rare earths and silicon is responsible for the excellent oxidation resistance of this 21% Cr alloy. Due to its lean chemistry, RA 253 MA is very economical compared to most heat resistant alloys.
