Phosphor Bronze C53400

UNS C53400

Description

C53400
COPPER ALLOY

Phosphor bronze C53400 contains copper, tin, and phosphorus. Due to the addition of phosphorus, the wear resistance and stiffness of the alloy are increased. Whereas tin increases the corrosion resistance and strength of the alloy. As a result, C53400 is notable for its good strength and fatigue resistance coupled with good machinability, high wear resistance and corrosion resistance which make it especially suitable for industrial and marine atmosphere applications.
