Nitronic 30 Stainless Steel

UNS S20400

Description

N30
STAINLESS STEEL

Nitronic 30 is a high strength, abrasion resistant austenitic stainless steel that is part of a group of materials known as Nitronic® due to the addition of nitrogen to improve their strength. The nickel content of Nitronic 30 is among the lowest of all commercially-available austenitic steels. Nitronic 30 stainless steel offers essentially higher strength and annealed mechanical properties than those of typical austenitic grades such as 304 stainless steel. It's abrasion and impact resistance, combined with corrosion resistance made it a suitable material choice for a number of industrial applications requiring good resistance to aqueous and atmospheric corrosion resistance.
