Niobium - Titanium / Powder
Description

The materials described as alloy precursors are not true alloys, in fact they are made by sintering a blend of powders of the component metals to achieve alloying by diffusion. The resultant alloy block is ground and sieved to the required particle size range.
Alfa Chemistry supplies a wide range of niobium-titanium powders which are highly acclaimed due to its good ductility, high conductivity and high quality. We can also customize various shapes of niobium-titanium products according to your requirements or drawings.

Applications
Niobium-titanium (i.e. the Nb-Ti alloy near the ratio of 1:1) is a well-known superconductor with a critical transition temperature (TC) of about 10 K at zero magnetic field. Due to its distinguished combined properties of superior high critical magnetic field and high critical supercurrent density, together with its accessible superconducting transition temperature, its affordability, and its easy workability, the Nb-Ti alloy, among thousands of the known superconductors, has been one of the most important material for fabricating commercial superconducting magnets which are widely used in the following areas:
- Chemical industry
- Biology
- Electronic
- Pharmacy industry
