Nickel 200

UNS N02200

Description

200
NICKEL ALLOY

Nickel 200, one of the toughest metals, is a solid solution strengthened and commercially pure wrought nickel. It has some unique characteristics, including low gas content and vapor pressure, high thermal and electrical conductivities, excellent mechanical properties and magnetic properties. These properties and its chemical composition make Nickel 200 highly resistant to corrosive environments, particularly caustic alkalis at a wide range of temperatures and concentrations. The corrosion resistance of Nickel 200 makes it particularly useful for maintaining product with healthy and pure in the handling of foods because it does not react. Thus, it is also known as a food grade alloy. The nickel alloy can be hot formed to any shape and formed cold by all methods.
