Description
C15715 is a dispersion-reinforced copper with low aluminum content. It consists of a pure copper matrix containing dispersed sub-microscopic Al2O3 particles which act as a barrier to dislocation movement. The dispersed Al2O3 is thermally stable, so it acts to retard the recrystallization of the copper. Therefore, significant softening does not occur as a result of high temperature exposure. With superior strength retention, thermal and electrical conductivity is higher than that of conventional copper alloys.
