AZ31B
UNS M11311
Description
Magnesium alloy AZ31B is one of the most popular magnesium alloys with aluminum. It is known for its excellent mechanical properties, including tensile strength, yield strength, elongation value, reduction area percentage, and impact energy values. This alloy also has a high level of corrosion resistance due to its ability to form a protective oxide layer when exposed to air or water. In addition, it exhibits good welding characteristics with traditional welding methods such as TIG and MIG welding. Due to these excellent properties, AZ31B alloys offer considerable potential for the aircraft manufacturing industry, as well as the automotive industry and medical industry.
