6005A
Description
Aluminum alloy 6005A is highly versatile and heat treatable alloy with medium strength and excellent corrosion resistance. It also offers excellent weldability and it can be welded and brazed by using different commercial techniques. Generally, its properties are between 6061 and 6082 aluminum alloy and thus it can often be used interchangeably with these materials, but 6005A has better extrusion characteristics than both. Aluminum alloy 6005A may be utilized in various applications, including structural and architectural work.
