5083
UNS A95083
Description
Aluminum alloy 5083 is a non-heat treatable alloy, offering the highest strength of all the non-heat treatable alloys and can retains its strength levels after welding. The addition of magnesium, manganese and chromium of 5083 makes it with exceptional performance in most extreme environments and well known for it. The alloy also has exceptional corrosion resistance to seawater, marine atmosphere and industrial chemical environments. In addition, the material combines excellent ductility with good formability. 5083 is ideal for lower temperature application, however, it is not recommended for use in temperatures above 65 °C.
