Description
Aluminum alloy 1100 is a commercially pure aluminum, and is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. It has the characteristics of soft and ductile, excellent workability, non-heat treatable, excellent welding and excellent forming. Thus, it may be suitable for applications that require bending, spinning, drawing, stamping and roll forming. In addition, 1100 has excellent resistance to corrosion, which makes it widely used in chemical and food processing industries. However, aluminum alloy 1100 is among the softest aluminum alloy, and it is not to be used for high-strength or high-pressure applications.
