1070
UNS A91070
Description
Aluminum alloy 1070, containing 99.7% Al, is the alloy with the highest aluminum content in the 1000 series of industrial aluminum alloy. In addition to the main element of aluminum, it also contains iron, silicon, zinc, vanadium, copper, titanium, magnesium, and manganese as minor elements. With the highest aluminum content, it retains the excellent properties of pure aluminum itself, such as high corrosion resistance, good thermal conductivity, suitable elongation processing and excellent brazing ability. Moreover, its mechanical properties are slightly enhanced by the addition of a few alloying elements.
