Alloy C276
UNS N10276
Description
Alloy C276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance in a broad range of environments and media by addition of a small amount of tungsten. The alloy is one of the most corrosion-resistant alloys available today. The high nickel and molybdenum contents make the Alloy C276 especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing environments while chromium conveys resistance to oxidizing media. Alloy C276 also has good high temperature strength, moderate oxidation resistance, outstanding resistance to creep and stress rupture up to 1200 °F. Same as many other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easily formed and welded. This alloy is frequently used in most industrial environments where aggressive chemical environments are present such as chemical processing, pollution control, pulp and paper production, industrial and municipal waste treatment, etc.
