Alloy 800H/AT
UNS N08810, N08811
Description
H/AT
800H/AT is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy designed to resist oxidation and carburization at elevated temperatures through 1900 °F and especially designed for high temperature structural applications. The alloy is an austenitic heat resistant alloy with superior creep and stress rupture properties and excellent corrosion resistance. The superior creep and stress rupture result from close control of the carbon, aluminum, and titanium contents, which is in conjunction with a high-temperature anneal to achieve a grain size of ASTM 5 or coarser. And the nickel content makes the alloys highly resistant both to chloride stress corrosion cracking and to embrittlement from precipitation of sigma phase. 800H/AT is commonly welded using RA82 (ERNiCr-3) bare wire for applications under 1450 °F.
