AISI 1030
UNS G10300
Description
AISI 1030 is a high-carbon steel containing approximately 0.30% carbon. It has moderate strength and hardness in the as-rolled condition and can be hardened and strengthened with a maximum hardness of approximately Rockwell C 50 by cold work. It also has fair machinability, ductility and good weldability. This grade of steel is used for machinery parts, brackets, brakes, clips, clutches, springs, washers and can be applied in automotive components such as engines, drive shafts, axles, transmissions etc. All in all, AISI 1030 steel is widely used in many applications, ranging from automotive and aerospace to industrial.
