434 Stainless Steel

UNS S43400

Description

434
STAINLESS STEEL

434 stainless steel is one of the most widely used of the "non-hardenable" ferritic stainless steels, and is one of the most corrosion-resistant alloys available. This type of stainless steel has excellent tensile strength and creep strength as well as good ductility. It also offers good heat resistance and superior resistance when compared with other types of metals. It has been tested extensively in different environments, including saltwater and humid air, and has demonstrated an ability to resist corrosion even under these conditions. This makes it an ideal choice for any application where corrosion could be a concern.
