Description
302HQ stainless steel belongs to austenitic stainless steel, which is addition of copper based on 302 stainless steel to improve the cold workability. It has good rust resistance in wet steam, salt spray and marine atmosphere as well as good oxidation resistance. The steel is mainly used in the production of cold heading fasteners and the manufacture and production of deep drawing and expansion cold forming parts. The alloy is nonmagnetic in the annealed condition and remains non-magnetic even after substantial cold working. It has excellent toughness even down to cryogenic temperatures.
